Crucial Tackle started as a passion for fishing. As a youth, the owner fished all the ponds and streams he could find. As he grew, this passion for fishing caused him to move his family to several popular lakes in the state of Texas. Eventually the company owner became a part-time fishing guide on Lake Fork, Texas' premier fishing water.

The desire to have the best tackle available at the best prices prompted him to begin selling tackle to his friends and clients in 1998. He continues to research and offer the best tackle at the best prices.
